09 Week - 04 Low-Poly
Low poly graphics are when someone uses shapes to create an image. An artist can uses different sizes of these shapes to create an emphasis or contrast in an image. For example, if you want to show that something is bigger or more important than something else, you should make the shapes creating than specific part of the image larger. In referring to computer graphics, low poly means that you would use considerably less amount of shapes to create an image. For example, every picture is made up of tiny circles, lines, etc. The more you use, the more in depth an image should look. Low poly purposely goes against this to create a new style of art.
